Rule 5
1. B2 receives the opening kick off at the B8. The blockers for team B form a line of 5 players immediately in front of B2. The blockers are shoulder to shoulder and begin running up the field to form a wedge for receiver B2 to follow. A25 is the first man down the field and at the B20 dives at the ankles of the B blockers to try and break up the wedge. The ball goes dead at the B28.

2. A is 3D and 6 from the A37. The ensuing punt is blocked by B52. A45 picks up the loose ball and throws a passes to A75 who is at the A45 yard line.
Ruling? (Legal play, A 1D and 10 at A45) 5-3-2 Page 38.
3. A is 3D and 9 at the A 12. A12 is back to punt. Just as he goes to kick the ball his plant foot slips causing him to start falling backwards. He does contact the ball and the ball is kicked about 5 feet high on a direct line that lands at the A18.
Ruling? (Blow play dead, B 1D and 10 at the A18). 5-4-2(a)
4. A is 3D and 7 from the A25. The punt travels across the field and lands near the sideline where is bounces around in the field of play. B2 is in the area to retrieve the ball. Just as he picks up the ball tackler A88 is 2 yards away and knocks B2 out of bounds.

5. A is 3D and 10 on the A2. Punter A74 is back to kick and proceeds to kick the ball into his own goal posts. A65 picks up the ball and runs to the A13.

1. Team A,
3D & Goal at the B 7 yard line, attempt a Field Goal. There are no
Team A players behind the kicker. The holder muffs the snap and the kicker
kicks the ball which is lying loose on the ground at the B12 yard line.
The ball goes into the EZ where A 56 jumps on, and recovers the loose
ball. There are several Team B players within a yard or 2 of the ball.

Ruling ? Offside Pass - If accepted the ball goes back to POP (Point of Pass) and Downs Continue. Since A did not gain yards on 3D it is Team B ball 1D &10 at the B12. (Rule 6 Section 3 - However it fits better under Rule 5)
2. Team A 3D & 8 at the A 40 yard line. Attempt to punt. The kicker
muffs the snap. He kicks the ball which is lying loose at the A32 yard
line. The ball crosses the LS and it is kicked intentionally while lying
loose by B 56 at the A 43 yard line, then recovered by Offside A 24 at
the A 45 yard line. There are several B team players within a yard or
two of the ball
Ruling? Team A 1D at the A45. (B dribble breaks the continuity of downs)
(Rule 9 -4-2(d) However it fits better under Rule 5)
3. Team A 3D and 3 punt from their own 30 yard line. The punter kicks
a high towering punt which hits the ground at the A 50 right beside Offisde
A64. Onside A 24 recovers the punt at the A50 right beside A64. The nearest
Team B player is at the B50.
Ruling
? Legal Recovery by A24.
Rule 5-4-2(e)
4. Team A3D and 3 punt from the Team B 20 yard line. The ball lands in
the End Zone where Offside A64 jumps on the ball and recovers it.
Ruling
? Team B 1D at the B35.
Rule 5-4-2- (g)
5. Team A A3D and 3 punt from the Team B 20 yard line. The ball lands
in the EZ where B15 kicks the ball back to A. The return kick lands in
the End Zone where it is recovered by B 12, who is tackled in the EZ.
B16 commits a block below the waist between the time B15 kicks the ball
and B12 recovers it.

Rule 5-5-3
6. Team A 2D and 10 at their own 4 yard line attempt a punt. The ball
is blocked in the EZ. The ball is touched by A12, B78, A53 then B18 before
going out of bounds in the EZ.
